Abstract
This book charts developments in the law of civil obligations, from a strict liability approach to that where fault has become extremely important in determining liability. It considers how and why this change occurred, as well as scholarly rationales for both. Finally, it considers the implications for remaining torts within the tort family that have, at least ostensibly, a basis in strict liability.
