Abstract
The authors for this chapter are past and present Aboriginal higher degree research students supported by their non-Aboriginal supervisor. The Chapter will present their brief stories, sharing the key experiences of their journey as Aboriginal research higher degree students and their views on what the hurdles were, what helped and what could have helped or have been done better. The stories of Aboriginal higher degree students have historically been excluded and this chapter attempts to address this omission by presenting an important first-person perspective.
A final section will bring together what they have learned from their experiences and provide their tips for future students and supervisors on things to consider when undertaking the journey.
