Fergusson, Lee (2012) ViroMine technology: a solution to the world's mining waste. Virotec Technical Series No. 2. Prana World Publishing, Oxenford, Australia. ISBN 978-0-9872633-0-8
Abstract
This book presents the primary types of mining waste and to show through 33 case studies conducted at mine sites throughout the world how ViroMine Technology, a solutions-based approach which has been applied successfully since 2000, can effectively treat and reduce the world’s mining megawaste. After Part One, which surveys the global research program related to ViroMine Technology while
exploring issues of long-term chemical stability and toxicology, this book examines the waste streams
generated by metalliferous mining in Part Two, coal mining in Part Three, and radioactive waste from mining and other sources in Part Four.
