Abstract

People love animals, a lot, even unconditionally at times, and even at the expense of other lovable animals. Such is the case with peoples’ love of domestic dogs (Canis familiaris), even free-roaming or feral ones, including those that can devastate other animals that are native and arguably more worthy of our love than dogs.
