Abstract

This chapter explores trends, issues, developments and challenges in CALL teacher education in relation to nine CALL training courses presented in the book. It provides an overview of the courses and looks at various aspects of the courses in terms of course titles, target audience, delivery modes, course objectives, location within a degree program, views of learning, teaching techniques, course contents, assessment and course evaluation. It suggests that what the courses offer and how they are delivered depend on a number of factors and the ways of developing language teachers’ knowledge and skills for using CALL need to be explored further in digital learning environments.
