The data collection relates to research on the history and heritage of the Great Barrier Reef. It comprises material sourced from public and private collections within Australia and overseas. The collection I have amassed comprises:
- Hardcopy material including original, photocopied and photographic prints of books, travel brochures, postcards, posters, advertisements.
- Hardcopy and digital photographic copies of images (maps, photographs, brochures, posters) produced by collecting institutions for which reproduction and publication costs have been paid.
- A large number of digital reference files (images, pdfs) for the purpose of analysis. These are images of archival texts (magazine, newspaper articles, diaries, webpages, book pages), artistic works, and all the above mentioned source types. These are personal images made on the understanding that they are for my research purposes only and cannot be reproduced without prior permission of the holding institution.
