Editing and publishing the gap: attempting to catch what otherwise might fall through

Quinn, Karina and Abblitt, Stephen and Baker, Dallas J. and Hecq, Dominique and Brien, Donna Lee (2015) Editing and publishing the gap: attempting to catch what otherwise might fall through. In: 19th Conference of The Australasian Association Of Writing Programs 2014: Minding the Gap: Writing Across Thresholds and Fault Lines, 30 Nov–02 Dec 2014, Wellington, New Zealand.

This paper is co-authored by a number of Australian-based editors of peer-refereed journals who explore the leap that is ‘editing and publishing the gap’. It charts the establishment and development of a series of journals, as well as how, as editors, we engage with the academic writing community in terms of genre, writing forms (including minority and experimental forms) and create a space for non-traditional and non-normative writers, researchers and scholars.
