Abstract

In those days, I had no measure to make and was full of errors, though I didn't know it. Sun rose and set and I was never the wiser one. I was writing or I was between things. I was a tangled thing, like a hedge of thorns, pricking and bleeding whoever I touched. I lived in a fog of words. Always watching, always writing. Even my love for Elli was an experience I was harvesting. A thing not in and of and for itself, but a thing to be got down on paper. A thing to be written.
