Synthesis and imidization of poly(amideimide)s

Abstract

Poly(amide acid)s were synthesized from polymerizing pyromellitic dianhydride and 1,4-phenylenediamine by two-step method, in which the monomer ratio is 1:1 and reaction temperature is at -15 ℃. The effect of both reaction time and temperature on imidization also was studied by detection with FT-IR. The isothermal imidization showed a better effeciency of polyimides.
