Abstract
The productivity of the Australian sugarcane industry is heavily influenced by seasonal, inter-annual and longer term variations in rainfall patterns. This study will analyse the characteristics of seasonal, annual and historical rainfall variability for key sugarcane growing areas in Queensland aiming to provide a greater understanding of the rainfall patterns for the use of Diuron herbicide.
