Abstract
The article is a condensed version of a recent seminar paper in which the author uses the metaphor of dance to pose a series of questions aimed at discussing leadership with reference to school improvement. The IDEAS project (Innovative Designs for Enhancing Achievements in Schools) and schoolwide pedagogy (SWP) are important facets of the author's model for school improvement. Included in the article are his 'Five key questions for great 21st century teachers'.
