Abstract

Fractional diffusion equations for anomalous subdiffusion in space-and-time-dependent force fields are derived from power law waiting-time continuous time random walks biased by Boltzmann weights. The evolution equations for the probability density function are equivalently given by a subordinated stochastic Langevin equation. Biophysics applications to fractional chemotactic diffusion and fractional electrodiffusion are considered.
