Abstract

[Conclusions]: Proposes a generic technique to capture rich metadata for documents in the context of WinFS. The technique is based on sound relational theory and extends current 'File Save As' GUI dialogs to assist users in capturing complex metadata for user-defined types in a reasonable, intuitive manner. We plan to implement a proof-of-concept system to test usability and effectiveness.
