Abstract

This project is concerned with the design and analysis of a universal toolbar for a two wheeled tractor. In order to estimate the forces that the toolbar may encounter, tractive force is predicted. Analysis of key components of the toolbar is then carried out using the Finite Element Method. It is found that the current design of the toolbar has significant strength reserve. Areas of high stress are identified. Modifications to the current design are also suggested.
