Abstract

In many countries around the world, there is considerable interest in the development of robust learning outcomes for engineering and other higher education programs. These outcomes underpin the accreditation systems operated by ABET, Engineers Australia, IPENZ, EUR-ACE and the Washington Accord members. In addition, many national governments are developing quality assurance processes that will require university programs to deliver an agreed set of learning outcomes. This paper addresses the development of a systematic, data-driven methodology to develop such learning outcomes.
