Abstract

The Bradley Review of Higher Education states that both more money and more students from diverse backgrounds will be necessary for Australia to effectively compete in the global market. Assessment is a factor which, as a learning driver for students, must figure strongly in any consideration of the agenda to widen participation in higher education. In this regard, we have to closely consider the role of assessment within the institutional context.
