Electronics and the environment - Singapore perspective

Abstract

This work presented in this dissertation gives a description of the impacts of electronic products during manufacture, during useful life and after their end of useful have had on the environment and human health when they are not well managed in Singapore and some countries in Asia. Singapore is one of world largest manufacturer of electronics. In 2004 Singapore exported US$136.993 billions worth of electronic commodities, integrated circuits, color televisions, picture tubes, cathode ray tube, TV camera tubes, ink cartridges, printed wiring boards, personal computers, and etc.
